Courtney + Alain // Apostle Highlands Golf Course
Courtney and Alain’s wedding day unfolded like the perfect South Shore love story, beginning at Courtney’s family condo with the kind of relaxed, joyful energy that set the tone for everything to come. The morning was filled with laughter, meaningful moments, and the easy excitement that happens when you’re surrounded by your favorite people.
Before heading to the ceremony, we wandered downtown for portraits, soaking in the charm of the streets and capturing the two of them just being themselves — playful, and fun. With just a quick pitstop at the bar to meet the rest of the crew, take some fun shots and off we went! From there, it was off to Apostle Highlands Golf Course for some seriously fun wedding party photos. The rolling greens and Lake Superior views gave us the perfect backdrop for a crew that clearly knew how to celebrate.
Their ceremony was short and sweet — heartfelt, down to earth, and completely true to who they are. And in true Wisconsin fashion, they made sure to take precautions against the forecast by burying a whiskey bottle at the ceremony site the night before. Whether luck or legend, it worked — the rain held off, and the skies stayed clear just for them.
After heartfelt dances together and with their parents, we snuck back out onto the course at sunset for a few final portraits. The light was soft, the air calm, and it felt like the perfect quiet pause before the evening festivities kicked into full gear. Soon after, friends shared stories and laughter during speeches, and the dance floor filled for a night that no one wanted to end.
Courtney and Alain’s day was joyful, genuine, and full of personality — a celebration that felt less like an event and more like an unforgettable gathering of all the people who love them most.
